Kent Chamberlin, Professor, ECE Department
Dr. Chamberlin has been involved with the electromagnetics aspects of the project, which are predicting coverage area for the VHF radio link and implementing shielding to ensure that the equipment in the cruiser does not interfere with radio reception. He is currently working on what is called datacasting, which uses excess bandwidth from digital television transmissions to provide high-speed data to vehicles in the field.
